Born in Manhattan (along with her twin brother) Chloë grew up primarily in Toronto. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. After graduating, she launched into a few different jobs including a writer/editor at a weekly paper in northern Ontario and an advertising sales representative for Canadian magazines and newspapers.

During her 2 decades in print media, Chloë's selling approach included unique, individualized advertising concepts she wrote for her clients. On the side she  doodled and painted and then reproduced the images onto greeting cards. Soon people started requesting new ones, which led to her launching Bellartisan in 2003.

Today Bellartisan represents international artists and their art is reproduced onto a variety of everyday products.
